Judia Ward (née McDaniel; 15 June 1868 – 26 August 1981) was an American woman notable for her long life.
Biography[]
Judia Ward was born as Judia McDaniel in Campbell, Virginia, USA as the daughter of Anderson and Charlotte McDaniel. She married a man named George Ward and had ten children, her last son Percell being born when she was 48.
She lived in Virginia for her entire life. Judia Ward died in Lynchburg, Virginia on 26 August 1981, aged 113 years, 72 days. At the time of her death she was the world's oldest person. Her case is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.
