The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Angel Flight Northeast an exemption which allows the reimbursement of its volunteer pilots for fuel costs incurred in conducting Part 91 charitable patient flights.
Volunteer pilots who wish to participate in the Fuel Reimbursement Program are required to adhere to qualifications and requirements listed in Exemption No.10360G. This is completely voluntary and no pilot is required to participate in the program. Click here to review: FAA Exemption No. 10360G 990 (see below for a condensed version).
Volunteer pilots who decide to Opt-In are required to complete the Fuel Reimbursement Program Opt-in Program and have a qualified FAA rated CFI complete the Initial and Recurrent Training Requirements Form Proficiency Checklist and return both to Angel Flight NE. Please print forms, complete them entirely, and fax to (978) 794-8779, attention Fuel Reimbursement Program or email a copy of the from(s) to pilots@angelflightne.org.

Funding for the Fuel Reimbursement Program can be done in multiple ways:
Donations on the Pilots Behalf: Family, Friends, Co-workers, etc. can make donations on a pilots behalf to his/her Fuel Reimbursement Fund. These funds will be earmarked specifically for the named pilot’s fuel.
Pilot Individual Donations: Donations to this fund can be made pilots specifically to their own fund. These funds are solely restricted to that pilot only and will be reimbursed to the pilot once the proper documentation and forms are submitted and approved by Angel Flight NE.

Please advise your potential donors who would contribute to your individual fund that their tax-deductible donations can be made online at our donation page. Donors would select the “Fuel Reimbursement Program” option and enter your “name” and “for fuel reimbursement program” in the box provided. Or they can send a check of their tax-deductible donation to Angel Flight Northeast with instructions to attach a memo stating that the donation is for your Individual Fund.
