- Leandro Burnes directs the operations and strategic relationships of WiredDifferently. Most recently, as Development Officer for the School of Engineering at MIT, he raised funding for students, faculty, infrastructure, research and commercialization of technology. Before that, he worked in Germany for Siemens AG Healthcare Sector, responsible for sales of Medical Imaging Informatics and Minimally Invasive Therapy solutions in English-speaking countries, Japan, Northwest Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Leandro was educated at MIT, earning a B.S. degree as well as an M.B.A from the Sloan School.
- Sebastian Seung directs the scientific programs of WiredDifferently. He is Professor of Computational Neuroscience and Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and External Member of the Max Planck Society. He received his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Harvard University, and formerly worked at Bell Laboratories. His TED talk “I am my connectome” has been viewed more than 450,000 times. His book Connectome: How the Brain’s Wiring Makes Us Who We Are was praised in the Wall Street Journal as “the best lay book on brain science I’ve ever read.”
